City Year Greater Philadelphia is currently recruiting to fill 200 AmeriCorps positions. The position is a full-time, ten month commitment from late August 2004 to June 2005 for 17 – 24 year olds.

City Year Greater Philadelphia corps members provide academic support to K-12 grade students in the Philadelphia School District, run after school tutoring and youth development programs for local youth organizations and schools. Corps members get the opportunity to facilitate and implement service-learning projects with students in and after-school. It is an excellent opportunity to work together to strengthen the bonds between schools and communities.
