IT Specialist, El Centro de Estudiantes
Posted by Big Picture Philadelphia on December 15, 2020
Big Picture schools have a selective recruitment process because we expect advisors and staff to make dramatic, measurable gains not just in student achievement, but in students lives. The challenges that today’s young adults face are enormous and very personal — so while we educate all students, we focus on one student at time. Join our team.
BPP’s IT Specialists deploy, manage, and support school tech: computers, data networks, displays, printers, and software services. This role mentors interns, and reports to both the school’s Principal and BPP’s Director of Technology.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare laptops and desktops for staff, student, and community use
- Install and maintain tech infrastructure, such as networks, displays, and printers
- Administer users and assets, primarily in Google Workspace
- Support staff and students’ use of school technology, remotely and in-person
- Help model and enforce school policy, procedure, and culture
- Regularly pursue and demonstrate knowledge on technology changes
- Support and mentor technology interns
- Assist with intermittent non-technology responsibilities, as needed
