Hooked on Hydroponics – For projects to engage kids actively in the garden and improve community life.
Funder: National Gardening Association.
Eligibility: Schools and youth organizations that engage in a hydroponics project with at least 15 children between the ages of 6 and 18 during the 2009 school year.
Deadline: Sept. 15.
Amount: 36 schools will receive hydroponic garden systems and indoor light systems, as well as curricula and reference books.
