The Greater Philadelphia Food Bank, the region’s largest distributor of donated food to charities that feed the needy in southeast Pennsylvania, has an opening for an experienced volunteer coordinator to administer its large and diverse volunteer program involving more than 2,300 volunteer hours every month at our two sites. Qualified individuals should have at least 2 years experience as a volunteer coordinator at a non-profit. Responsibilities include outreach to recruit volunteers from new sources, including welfare-to-work programs; coordinating schedules and advocating among volunteers and various Food Bank
departments; and public presentations. Necessary skills include public speaking, writing and organization, problem-solving; and ability to work with a variety of people.
