The THIRD of five Michigan Good Food work group reports has now been released!

Good Food Access for Families and Communities

This report provides:

–          Descriptions of the challenges to good food access in Michigan
–          Examples of strategies for improving access to good food from across the state and the country
–          Nineteen specific agenda priorities that expand on the access-related recommendations in the Michigan Good Food Charter and include implementation suggestions
–          Identification of key areas in Michigan where efforts should be focused

This report will be valuable for anyone looking to learn more about ways to improve access to good food, encourage healthy eating practices and foster a culture based on good food.

“Good Food Access for Families and Communities” is authored by  Andrea King Collier and Celeste Rabaut with input from work group contributors across the state. It is available for download at http://www.michiganfood.org.

The final two reports in the series – Youth Engagement & Opportunity and Farm Viability & Development – will be released in the following months.
