Funding Available for AmeriCorps*National programs

Funding is available for organizations interested in applying for AmeriCorps*National program grants.

AmeriCorps*National grants are made directly by the Corporation to public or private nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, government entities within states or territories, Indian Tribes, and consortia of the aforementioned. There are six types of AmeriCorps*National grant opportunities available:

1.      AmeriCorps*National Direct

2.      AmeriCorps*National Professional Corps

3.      AmeriCorps*National Planning grants

4.      AmeriCorps*Indian Tribes Planning grants

5.      AmeriCorps*National Education Award Program

6.      AmeriCorps*Indian Tribes

The deadline for Planning Grant Applications is November 5, 2008, 5:00 pm EST.  The deadline for all other applications is 5:00 pm EST on January 13, 2009.  Detailed information, including the Notice of Funding Opportunities and the AmeriCorps Application Instructions, can be found on our website at: http://www.americorps.gov/for_organizations/apply/national.asp.

Technical Assistance Conference Calls for AmeriCorps*National Applicants
Technical assistance conference calls will be held each month starting the week of August 10 – December 2008 for all interested applicants.  The conference calls will address the application requirements for all of the AmeriCorps*National Grant Opportunities listed above.  Conference call dates, times and registration information are posted on our website at:  http://www.americorps.gov/pdf/08_0725_nofa_ac_nat_calls.pdf
