First Annual Youth Expo, Health and Wellness Fair

Dear Colleague:

You and your students are invited to the First Annual Youth Expo, Health and Wellness Fair, designed by youth for youth, on Saturday, May 24, 2003. This event, sponsored by the Mayor’s Office of Community Services and the Germantown Community Collaborative Board, will be held in Vernon Park, 5803 Germantown Avenue from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The mission of the group is to empower youth by providing access to information and resources that promote holistic, healthy life choices and decrease at-risk behaviors with special events that encourage physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. It is our vision to develop an informed group of youth leaders to address health-related issues that impact low-income communities.
