Executive Director, Accion Comunal Latinoamericana de Montgomery County

ACLAMO Family Centers (Accion Comunal Latinoamericana de Montgomery County) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote improved access to economic, employment, social and cultural resources and opportunities for low-income citizens in Montgomery County PA, especially those of Spanish-speaking background living in Norristown, Bridgeport and Pottstown. Founded in 1977, ACLAMO serves about 5,000 individuals and families annually with a variety of social, educational and housing programs. Over the past 2 decades through its Familias Adelante family development initiative, ACLAMO has boosted access to essential resources for maternal and child health, early childhood education and family literacy, early intervention, home and school counseling, mental health, dental care and services for Latino elderly.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Now actively recruiting an Executive Director, ACLAMO seeks a dynamic, entrepreneurial and mission-oriented individual to provide leadership for a Latino community service agency experiencing significant growth and change in its 32nd year. The Executive Director is the primary person responsible for building the agency and its programs, developing new sources of revenue and support, overseeing finances, and maintaining strategic relationships with a wide range of community partners in health and human services, education, employment and housing.

Additional Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will be skilled in overseeing provision of integrated of health, human services and educational programming for English language-learner children and adults, as well as employment, housing and community development. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in nonprofit agency development and administration, staff supervision, community relations, and in securing public, private and self-generated revenues and support, including grants and contracts, annual fund individual giving, fee-for-service and third-party billing.

Further, ideal candidates will have strong foundation in social services, health/public health and/or education at the Masters level, and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Excellent organizational skills and supervisory experience, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and to work under pressure are essential. The job requires verbal and written fluency in English and Spanish, strong financial and human resources skills, and excellent judgment. Latino background is a plus, but not a requirement.
