Fordham Foundation Invites Nominations for Excellence in Education Prizes
Deadline: May 13, 2005

The Thomas B. Fordham Foundation (<a href="http://edexcellence.net/foundation/global/index.cfm">http://edexcellence.net/foundation/global/index.cfm</a>) is accepting nominations for its annual prizes honoring education excellence in the United States.

The Thomas B. Fordham Prize for Distinguished Scholarship is awarded to a scholar who has made major contributions to education reform via research, analysis, and successful engagement in the war of ideas.

The Thomas B. Fordham Prize for Valor is awarded to a leader who has made major contributions to education reform via noteworthy accomplishments at the national, state, local, and/or school levels.

Anyone whose work has had a profound impact on education in the United States may be nominated. Candidates may be nominated either for cumulative lifetime achievement or for extraordinary one-time accomplishments.

Nominations from individuals or organizations familiar with the work of outstanding education reformers and scholars are welcome. Self-nominations will not be considered.
