Eighth Annual Continuums of Service Conference

Dear Colleagues,

The Western Region Campus Compact Consortium is pleased to announce the dates, location, and theme?along with a Call for Proposals?for the Eighth Annual Continuums of Service Conference.

Please join your colleagues April 11-13, 2005 at the Portland Marriott Downtown in Portland, Oregon.

Entitled “Building Bridges: Values, Knowledge, and Skills for Vibrant Communities and Campuses,” the conference will bring together 500 colleagues from the western region and beyond to explore multiple perspectives on the relationships between higher education and communities, and the roles service-learning and civic engagement can play in invigorating them.

Choose to participate from one or more of the following opportunities:

* Submit a proposal for presenting during one of five concurrent sessions and/or poster session at the conference. Presentations will be part of the general concurrent session; three strands focusing respectively on student leadership, community partnerships, and faculty roles and rewards; and/or the poster session. Call for Proposals Deadline: Friday, January 28, 2005.

* Submit a proposal for displaying Artwork at the conference.
