Earth Force Youth Summit 2003

Posted by on March 28, 2003

The Earth Force Youth Summit 2003 will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2003 from 10:00am – 2:00pm at the Philadelphia Zoo. This Summit is free to Earth Force educators and their students, and we would also like to invite our community partners to join us for this fun, informal day at the Zoo. For those of you who haven’t been to the Zoo in awhile, I think you will be amazed at the many changes that the Zoo has undergone. They are continuing to create more and more outstanding educational exhibits as well as natural areas for animals and people to explore.

The Summit is a wonderful way for Earth Force teachers and students to celebrate and get to meet other students and teachers working with Earth Force. Coincidently, the theme for this year’s Conservation Week at the Zoo is “Make a Difference.” We know that Earth Force teachers and students do “make a difference” in their schools and communities. But, we couldn’t do the work without the help and support of our many wonderful community partners. Please come and celebrate with us! No need to bring anything, just comfortable clothes and shoes.

We would like to ask, however, that if you do join us, that you please take a minute and stop by the Carnivore House where our Earth Force students’ projects will be on display. I know that they would enjoy the opportunity to tell you about the work they are doing to “make a difference” in their schools and communities.

If you have any questions, call the office or contact me or Kathleen Geist via e-mail at kathleen.geist@verizon.net

Space is limited for this summit. Please let us know if you will be joining us and we will have a ticket available for you at the ticket booth!!

Thanks for all you do to support our teachers and students.
