Early Head Start Director, Maternity Care Coalition

Maternity Care Coalition (MCC), a dynamic nonprofit, works to improve maternal and child health and well-being through the collaborative efforts of individuals, families, providers and communities. MCC is Pennsylvania’s largest Early Head Start provider. The Early Head Start Director provides leadership for MCC’s EHS programs, located in Philadelphia, Montgomery County (Norristown and Pottstown) and rapidly expanding to soon cover Delaware County. The Director is responsible for assuring all Head Start Program Performance Standards and mandates for excellence are met on a daily basis. The Director provides overall leadership in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all service area performance. This position requires a high degree of knowledge about the Head Start Program Performance Standards, and all service areas and accountability requirements. The Director works in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team, the EHS Board Committee and the MCC Board of Directors in the strategic development and oversight of the program. S/he directly supervises program management staff and manages the structure, systems and procedures to facilitate positive school readiness outcomes. In addition, the EHS Director is responsible for assuring that the program is strategically positioned for future success.

Minimum 5 years of nonprofit management experience; experience in, and knowledge of, EHS strongly preferred.
