Dream Directors, Future Project

Posted by Future Project on January 18, 2016

We at The Future Project are currently searching the city for the best social entrepreneurs, transformational leaders, educators, and community organizers out there to serve as a Dream Director for the remainder 2015-2016 school year and beyond.

Dream Directors are full-time employees embedded in a school who work with hundreds of students and faculty members to re-imagine their school as a place of hope and possibility — one where every single student can figure out what brings them alive and take action toward it. They provide high-dosage coaching and hundred-person workshops. They are constantly supporting students in small groups and one-on-one to launch their dreams, powerfully and tangibly. They work with faculty. They recruit dozens of volunteer coaches. And they collaborate day after day with their principal to transform culture, space, and policy.

Currently, our Dream Directors work in schools that serve more than 25,000 students across seven cities—New York City, New Haven, Washington, DC, Newark, San Francisco, Detroit, and Philadelphia. You can see what it’s like to be a Dream Director by watching our videos here.

I am writing now because we have one opening for a 2015-2016 Dream Director position in Philadelphia. We receive hundreds of applications each year, but we know that there are thousands of Dream Directors across our country… including many of you and the people you know. You can learn more about the position and find the application form here. The DEADLINE is FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19th at 11:59pm.
