NOTE: This position is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Applicants must be available to interview at our Administrative Offices, no travel reimbursements are available.

Organizational Overview:

Bethesda Project serves Philadelphia’s homeless and formerly homeless men and women through its network of fourteen residential and shelter settings. In the past year, more than 2500 homeless adults received housing, shelter, meals, and supportive services as they sought to manage their physical and mental illness, recover from addiction, and reclaim their dignity, self-worth and independence. Position Overview:

Bethesda Project is currently seeking a creative, driven, and dynamic Director of Development to lead our fundraising efforts. The Director of Development will design and implement development initiatives targeting a variety of sources, including foundations, corporations, individuals, secular and non-secular organizations, government, and special events, toward established annual goal. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, he or she will ensure that fundraising strategies align with the strategic plan and are designed to sustain Bethesda Project’s mission in the short-term and long-term. The Director of Development will manage a team of two staff and work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, Young Professional Advisory Board, Board of Directors, Development Committee, and senior management team.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer.
