Job description
General Description:

Develop and manage comprehensive youth and family development programs for parents, families and school age youth. As Manager of Youth and Family Development, this individual will be responsible for managing and leading Concilio’s Parenting Skills Program, the Housing Program, and a variety of youth development programs provided during the summer and school year. This position is a senior management role that requires a high level of professionalism, flexibility, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Staff and Supervision

¨ Provide management to the department and staff through independent judgment and decision making.

¨ Provide quality supervision to all assigned staff including a minimum of bi-weekly supervisory staff meetings with individual staff members to ensure compliance with program goals.

¨ Guide, enable and oversee supervisees’ supervision of their direct staff as appropriate.

¨ Identify staff development opportunities and trainings to assigned staff.

¨ Provide overall vision, leadership, and guidance for a healthy, responsive and well functioning department.

¨ Conduct monthly program staff meetings.

Program Management/Administration

¨ Work with executive leadership and staff to design and deliver a high quality, cohesive and comprehensive Parenting Skills Program utilizing the resources of Concilio and the Community, including collaboration with internal programs such as foster care whenever possible.

¨ Develop, implement and manage various youth health programs at Concilio, including the PHAT pre-teen sexual health program, after school programs, and summer Youthworks.

¨ Develop, implement and manage the Housing Counseling Program utilizing the resources of Concilio and the Community, with active and ongoing assessment, strategy, and action to ensure contract compliance and high program quality.

¨ Ensure all programming is of high quality and continually evolving to reflect best practice research and the most efficient and effective administrative processes available.

¨ Continually work to ensure optimal levels of service collaboration and integration among programs.

¨ Collaborate internally and externally to ensure the effective coordination of program schedules and related events for youth and families.

¨ Provide support to executive leadership and staff in the areas of planning, management, program execution and communications.

¨ Manage program budgets and contract outcomes to ensure optimal program efficacy and compliance.

Internal & External Relationships

¨ Participate as a member of the Management/Executive Team and in various agency committees for the advancement of the community and the agency.

¨ Manage the timely submission of reports for partners and funders.

¨ Engage with funders and partners and represent Concilio as needed or as assigned.

¨ Ensure high quality representation in conferences and other events.

¨ Perform other duties as assigned.
