BULLYING PREVENTION

This workshop is presented at no cost to participants and is appropriate for all who work with children on a regular basis.

As a result of this interactive workshop, participants will:
? increase their knowledge of current research on bullying and sexual harassment;
? gain a greater understanding of these behaviors and their effects on students;
? learn how to identify bullying situations and intervene effectively with bullies and student targets;
? learn to use tools to evaluate school/group culture and ways to confront the norm that encourage aggression and bullying; and
? practice the process for implementing a school/center-based, comprehensive prevention plan for dealing with bullying situations.

CORA Services is an Authorized Provider of Psychologist Credits, NBCC and PA Act 48 Credits (5.0 CE credits) and SW Credits (4.0 CE credits) for this workshop.

Completing a Prevention Workshop (1/06, 11/04, 5/04 or 10/03) is a prerequisite for participation in the follow-up training seminars for Bullying Intervention Groups and Female Relational Aggression scheduled for later this year.

This workshop is presented in collaboration with the PA Masonic Foundation for Children.
