Creating A Positive Collaborative Relationship between the Subject Matter Expert and the Instructional Design Team

This webinar will go through the process instituted by the School of Education to develop a collaborative relationship between the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and the Instructional Design Team. The presentation will cover tools, templates and websites the ID team institute to lay out the course development process regardless of time constraints. Furthermore, the presentation will cover best practices for engaging the online learner through design and course construction.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Illustrate effective practices of educating and communicating the course design process.
  • Differentiate the actors and their responsibilities in the course design process.
  • Create a course development framework that would fit their current environment.

Dr. Mercanti-Anthony has been a member of the School of Education community for almost ten years. In that time she has focused her attention on online student development and online course development with a specific focus on engagement. Specifically, her research focus includes Engagement in Online and Hybrid Learning Environments.
