Continuing Ed Institute on Community Based Participatory Research

Posted by on August 5, 2005

The ASPH/CDC Examining Community-Institutional Partnerships for Prevention Research Group has been invited by APHA to offer a continuing education institute (CEI) on CBPR partnerships at this year’s APHA conference in November in New Orleans. The CEI is offered in partnership with the APHA Caucus on Community-Based Public Health, a member of the ASPH/CDC project since its inception.

The CEI is the first part of a two-part CEI on CBPR. The first CEI, entitled “Community-Based Participatory Research (Part I): Developing and Sustaining Partnerships for Community-based Participatory Research,” will be presented on Saturday afternoon, November 5th, 2005. The second CEI, entitled “Community-Based Participatory Research (Part 2): Working with Communities to Interpret and Analyze Data and Get to Outcomes,” is scheduled for Sunday morning, November 6th, 2005.
