SfP’s staff and management represent an impressive blend of technical, public policy, research, government, and community organizing expertise. One of SfP’s primary products is The Benefit Bank® (TBB™) online service whose unique civic engagement model and expert systems technology is revolutionizing how low- and moderate-income households are able to access federal and state tax credits, student financial aid, and government benefits. Our other main product is MyBudgetCoachTM (MyBC); a web-based financial coaching service in which clients develop skills and knowledge they need to achieve financial stability.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Content Editor works closely with the Policy & Research and Technology teams to develop user-friendly content for The Benefit Bank (TBB) web application. TBB provides an easy-to-use platform for low-income households to apply for benefits and complete tax forms. The Content Editor is responsible for vetting all TBB text, ensuring the ease of use of the application and adhering to content standards. The Content Editor is also responsible for commissioning and editing supplementary help content that serves to define and clarify benefit and tax concepts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop content in English for The Benefit Bank
- Edit and proofread all application content
- Ensure that Content team is adequately represented in all phases of project development
- Ensure compliance with TBB content standards and guidelines, as per the company style guide
- Assist the Content Team Lead with brainstorming and implementing any necessary additions or changes to Content team policy
- Meet production deadlines
