Compliance Officer, Northern Children’s Services

The Compliance Officer is responsible for programs, policies, and practices that ensure that all departments are in compliance with Funding Source, HIPAA, and accreditation standards. This position monitors compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. The Compliance Officer serves as the designated NCS manager for the Credible EMR. This person would manage the system, train and resolve issues related to the EMR.

The Compliance Officer stays abreast of laws and regulations that might affect the organization’s policies and procedures. This position prepares compliance reports to present to the Board of Trustees and the CEO. The Compliance Officer is the key person in preparation and coordination of all departmental and program audits. This position is familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and requires a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

The Corporate Compliance Officer supervises the Quality Assurance department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s required.
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a healthcare organization, to include demonstrated leadership. Familiarity with operational, financial, performance improvement, and human resource procedures and regulations is a must.
  • Familiarity with healthcare laws, regulations, and standards and risk management, and performance improvement.
  • At least one year of experience with Credible in the Qualifications
