Collective Impact Conversation on K-12 education and college access

Posted by Rutgers University on February 5, 2018

I am writing to invite you to participate in our upcoming Collective Impact Conversation on K-12 education and college access, which will take place on Tuesday, February 13 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM in the South BC conference room in the Rutgers University–Camden Campus Center. The purpose of our Collective Impact Conversations series is to convene a group of diverse stakeholders around a specific issue area each month to identify strategies by which we can continue to create positive change in our city. Rutgers University-Camden will use the feedback and ideas generated through these conversations to shape our own strategic vision for civic engagement in 2018-19, as well as the development of a campus-wide civic action plan.

In preparing your thoughts for our conversation on economic development, I encourage you to reflect on the following questions:

  • What factors are presently contributing to or detracting from effective K-12 education and access to higher education in the city of Camden?
  • How are K-12 education and college access experienced by residents, neighborhoods, local businesses, and community/non-profit organizations?
  • What is presently being done to drive effective K-12 education and college access in our community?
  • What challenges currently exist regarding K-12 education and college access in Camden, and what steps could be taken to address those challenges?
  • What actions could be taken to enhance K-12 education and college access in our city?
  • What systems could be developed to improve coordination and collaboration regarding K-12 education and college access in Camden?

If you would like to join us for our Collective Impact Conversation on K-12 education and college access, please take a moment to register here.
