DRG has been retained by Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia (JFGP) to recruit their next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). S/he will have a unique professional opportunity to determine the future direction of one of the largest Jewish communities in the country, comprised of five counties, with a population of nearly 215,000.

The Greater Philadelphia area is known for its vibrancy, historical significance and academic scholarship; boasting a multitude of universities with flourishing Judaic studies/Jewish education programs, active synagogues and day schools – all forging creative new expressions of Jewish life. JFGP leadership seeks a professional with demonstrated experience in four critical areas: community building, stewarding relationships with people of wealth and influence, a significant history of fundraising success, and excellent communication skills. S/he must be conversant with a broad range of Jewish community issues, locally, nationally and internationally, and be familiar with the systems that address these concerns. The new CEO must have a personal passion for Jewish community, continuity and peoplehood, and be able to inspire that passion in others.

Qualifications: Successful candidates will have the nonprofit or business sector experience required to lead a complex institution that operates within an ever-changing organizational and communal environment. JFGP seeks candidates who are skilled in balancing the responsibilities of organizational management with the external responsibilities of community development, relationship-building, and work with key stakeholders.
