Chester County RFPs announced for youth programs

The Chester County Department of Community Development (DCD), the entity designated by the Chester County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) and the Chester County Council for the Workforce of Tomorrow, provides staff support to the WIB and acts as the administrative entity and the fiscal agent for the operation of Workforce Investment Act programs in the Chester County local workforce area.

Under the direction of the WIB and Chester County Council for the Workforce of Tomorrow, DCD has issued two Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for agencies seeking to provide youth employment and training services to disadvantaged youth in Chester County in 2015.

The two RFP’s include:
• One-Stop Youth Service Provider under the WIA Title I Youth funding program, and
• TANF Youth Development Provider under the PA Department of Human Services’ Temporary Assistance for Needy Families funding program.

Both RFPs are available online. Respondents are required to submit their application through DCD’s online system.

Instructions are available on the website. Completed applications must be received by 3 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015.

A Bidder’s Conference will be held to answer specific questions related to the RFPs on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 1:30 p.m. at The HOOD: A Partnership for Youth Employment, Oaklands Corporate Center, 479 Thomas Jones Way, Suite 350, in Exton.
