Career Fair at Shaw Middle School

Posted by on May 19, 2006

We would like to extend an invitation for you to attend the 3rd Annual College and Career Week at Anna Howard Shaw Middle School. We are very eager to expose our children to a wide variety of college and career opportunities that they can consider for their futures. Research shows that the more exposure young children have for college choices and future job possibilities, the more successful they are throughout their middle and high school years.

Our College and Career Week will be held at Shaw Middle School during the week of May 30th ? June 2nd, 2006. Presenters will be scheduled for 45-minute sessions. Each session will consist of a 30-minute presentation and a 15- minute question and answer period.

Sample Schedule: (subject to change)

9:00 ? 9:25 Continental Breakfast, Rosters will be given out
10:00 ? 10:45 First presentation
11:00 ? 11:45 Second presentation
12:00 ? 12:45 Lunch served
1:00 ? 1:45 Third presentation
2:00 ? 2:45 Final presentation

We understand how hectic all of our schedules can be and we understand that you may not be able to commit to the entire day. However, we will gladly accommodate any portion of the day that you are able to afford us.

Please fill out the attached form and return it to Ms. Julie Shah or Ms. Jeanie Yuh, Student Council Advisors, by May 10th, 2006, either by fax or by mail. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us at 215-727-2161.

Sincerely,

Ms. Julie Shah & Ms. Jeanie Yuh
