Call for Proposals: Adolescent Nutrition and Fitness conference

The California Adolescent Nutrition and Fitness (CANFit) Program is now accepting workshop presentation proposals for CANFit?s fourth biennial Recipes for Success: From Practice to Policy Conference, taking place November 4-5, 2004 at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center in Oakland, CA. We are expecting an audience of at least 200 youth service providers and health professionals who work with middle school aged youth in a variety of settings.
Enclosed is the Request for Proposal (RFP) guidelines. Additional copies of the guidelines may be downloaded from http://www.canfit.org. Proposals will be evaluated based on their relevance to CANFit?s mission of engaging communities and building the capacity of California?s low-income, multi-ethnic communities to improve nutrition and physical activity for youth 10-14 years old; overall quality; and practical application. Incomplete proposals will not be considered.
We are pleased to offer complimentary conference registration for up to two presenters. Past presenters have also enjoyed the tremendous learning and networking opportunities available at this exciting event.
All proposals must be postmarked by May 24, 2004. Presenters will be notified of their status by June 18, 2004. Please send three copies to:
