Call for presenters: Teacher Symposium event

Posted by School District of Philadelphia on August 28, 2017

I am one of the co-planners of the Teacher Symposium event, which is a mini-conference for K-12 teachers across the district, hosted by the Office of Teaching and Learning each spring. The feedback from our event in April was overwhelmingly positive, and many participants suggested that we host more than one event each year. We are in the planning stages to host a Teacher Resource Forum on October 14th from 9am to 1pm. We want to focus on a theme about it taking a village to teach a child, so we want sessions and resources highlighted to center around the idea of building connections between home, school, and the community.

We believe you would be able to offer valuable information to our teachers! We are planning for two 90-minute sessions and one 1-hour poster session, in addition to having school partner/ vendor tables set up. Please let me know if you would be willing/ able to participate and which format seems most compatible with the information you would like to share with educators. Also, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you can provide about other organizations or groups I may be able to reach out to who may also be able to participate.

If I can address any questions or concerns you may have, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
