The IERG is a non-profit research group that has its home in the Faculty of Education, at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada. Working with associates from around the world, we want nothing less than to make the learning experiences of all children in all schools more interesting, meaningful, and imaginatively engaging. By developing teachers’ and students’ imaginations, we believe we can transform the experience of schooling, and help students become more knowledgeable, and more creative in their thinking.

We invite researchers and practitioners in all areas of education to submit proposals on issues related to imaginative teaching and learning. The conference is organized around a number of themes and there are a number of presentation formats available. For those doing research around themes of imaginative education and who are interested in the possibility of a fully refereed paper publication, we are announcing our first Imaginative Education Research Symposium.
