PeopleForBikes Foundation Seeks LOIs for Bike Share Initiatives

The PeopleForBikes Foundation, a member of the Better Bike Share Partnership, is accepting Letters of Interest from collaborations of community-based nonprofits, cities, and bike share operators for the second round of its Challenge Grant Program.

Matching grants of between $25,000 and $75,000 will be awarded to support the development and implementation of strategies to increase bike share use in underserved communities. Preference will be given to projects led by community-based organizations with support from the bike share operator, city department(s), and other local nonprofits .

In addition, the program will provide funding for the development, implementation, and documentation of strategies for employer-based programs and kiosk design, including language, graphics, and format.

A matching grant of at least of 20 percent from another source is required.

To be eligible, applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or a city or county government agency.
