Baseball Tomorrow Fund Invites Applications From Youth Baseball, Softball Programs

The Baseball Tomorrow Fund is a joint initiative of Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association.

BTF awards grants to nonprofit organizations involved in the operation of youth baseball and softball programs and facilities. The funds may be used to finance new programs, expand or improve an existing program, new collaborative efforts, or to obtain the facilities or equipment necessary for a youth baseball or softball program. Grants are intended to provide funding for incremental programming and facilities for youth baseball and softball programs, not for normal operating expenses or as a substitute for existing funding or fundraising activities.

BTF does not specify a maximum grant award; however, the average grant amount is approximately $40,000.

To be eligible, applicants must be a U.S.-based or international nonprofit and tax-exempt organization involved in the operation of a youth baseball and/or softball program and facility. Organizations operating in the U.S. and international locations are eligible to apply.

See the BTF website for complete program guidelines, an FAQ, information about past recipients, and application instructions.

DEADLINE: JULY 1, 2016
