Full Time Temporary Position (one year)

A Campus Minister at Villanova University responsible to support the Mission of the University as expressed in the Mission of Campus Ministry. As a member of the Campus Ministry Service and Social Justice Team, the minister will coordinate the Week-Long Service Break Program. A Campus Minister committed to the development of young adult spirituality through faith based service to the marginalized and disadvantaged through the Service Break Experience Program (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer).  Programs currently include approximately 20 national Habitat service trips and 30 international service trips throughout the year for all members of the Villanova University community (students, faculty, staff, administration, and alumni).  Responsibilities include recruitment, selection, education, and training for approximately 90 student leaders. Responsibilities also include securing and communicating with service site affiliates, recruitment and education of adult advisors, fundraising, and collaboration with most Colleges within Villanova University, except for Arts & Sciences, to assist with service learning experiences. Emphasis is on implementing opportunities of service, education, reflection and celebration that will encourage students to learn about the needs of the poor, to reflect on service as a praxis of faith and to seek ways to be engaged in the struggle for social justice. This position requires flexible work schedule that includes evening and weekend responsibilities in order to accomplish the duties of this position and to maintain an active personal spiritual life and professional development.

Masters Degree in Theology/Pastoral Ministry or equivalent required with experience in higher education
