Department: Wellness Center
Position: Assistant Program Director, Youth Development Programs
Pay Grade: 17 ($18.57- $32.73)
Hours: Full Time (40 hours including routine evenings & weekends)
Reports to: Kate Blackburn, Program Director, Youth Development Programs

Primary responsibilities:
 Program planning and proposal development / grant writing for new and existing Wellness Center initiatives (50+% of time)
 Serving as community liaison to develop and sustain local and regional Wellness Center partnerships
 Monitoring department?s daily operations
 Assisting with administrative functions of department- such as managing budgets, communicating with funders, and preparing reports

Skills:
 Ability to work effectively with others from diverse cultures/communities, including youth
 Excellent people skills, creativity in program planning, ability to handle large volume of details
 Must be able to work independently
 Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Experience & Knowledge:
 Minimum 3 years experience in non-profits: grants administration, proposal development & evaluation, and grant writing, project management and strategic planning
 Minimum bachelor?s degree (master?s degreed preferred)
 Knowledge of social service systems in Chester and Delaware County

Additional Requirements:
 Valid driver?s license and consistent access to a vehicle
 Must clear criminal background check, child abuse clearances and substance abuse screening
