ASAP Remote Game Night comes to a living room near you! – Apr 2

Posted by After School Activities Partnerships (ASAP) on March 31, 2020

One of the many events ASAP has decided to postpone was our first-ever Game Night Fundraiser scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd at the Queen and Rook Café. As you may recall, the purpose of this event was to raise funds to send our students to Chess, Debate and Scrabble National Championships, and to support a citywide bilingual musical production of Once On This Island.

Since many of these events are now also postponed, we will be notifying everyone who has purchased tickets to Game Night or made donations to the fundraiser to give them the opportunity to be refunded or to redirect their donation. Please click here if you would like a refund of your ticket or donation. Please note we do hope to reschedule this event in the near future in which case tickets previously purchased will be honored, so stay tuned!

BUT… just because we won’t be gathering at Queen & Rook Café on Thursday, April 2nd, doesn’t mean that Game Night can’t still be Game On!

So we are encouraging all folks on Thursday, April 2nd to show their support for ASAP’s students by organizing their own Game Nights at home! Get your Scrabble boards ready, gather your settlers of Catan, and grab your hungriest hippos, and help us show ASAP’s kids that even if events are cancelled we’re still cheering them on.

And we want you to share images and videos of your remote Game Nights at home to help us show ASAP’s kids that there is still much fun to be had after school! Read more here: https://mailchi.mp/d154181b0b37/asap-remote-game-night-in-a-living-room-near-you?e=6998b4232c

Here are a few suggestions for how you can participate:

See you (virtually) on the 2nd–happy gaming!
