apply to be on Public Health Young Leaders steering committee
Now Accepting Applications for the PHYLA Steering Committee!
Did you know that all PHYLA events and operations are run by a small group of dedicated volunteers from diverse public health backgrounds?
As we near our second “PHYLA-versary,” we are seeking to fill vacancies on the PHYLA Steering Committee.
Applications are due Friday, March 16, 2018.
Before applying, please consider your availability and commitment to our work. Our Steering Committee members meet once per month, attend all PHYLA events, and typically work an additional 6-10 hours per month between meetings. We are looking for serious, dedicated applicants only.
We will review all applications and extend interviews to those most qualified. Applications are due no later than Friday, March 16, 2018.
Please contact us at email@example.com with your questions or for more information.
Scared of commitment? Want to get involved but don’t have the time to dedicate to PHYLA’s Steering Committee?
PHYLA is proud to introduce a new program to boost member engagement – the PHYLAmbassadors! PHYLAmbassadors will act as PHYLA representatives at community events such as career fairs, health fairs, campus events, etc. PHYLAmbassadors will complete a brief training on the mission and vision of PHYLA and how to answer frequently asked questions. Then, PHYLAmbassadors will be expected to participate in 3 to 5 tabling events per year to represent PHYLA and increase awareness of the organization. You will have the freedom and the flexibility to sign up for events as your schedule allows!

[Ed note: PHYLA will be presenting “Inspiring and Developing Young Leadership in Present Day Public Health” at this year’s PHENND Conference.]
