Program Director Position?Christ Church/St. John?s After School Program

Program Description
Christ Church is entering its fourth year of offering a successful after school mentoring program for 2nd and 3rd grade children of low-income families from Abigail Vare Elementary School. The program offers a safe, positive, and structured setting in which students on the cusp of failing in their classes come seeking extra help with reading and math skills, a hot meal, and fun activities such as group art projects that build healthy peer and mentor relationships. The program meets four days a week (Monday-Thursday), from 3:15 p.m.-5:15 p.m., thirty weeks a year (October-May) at St. John?s Episcopal Church at 3rd and Reed Streets. The program runs out of the Christian conviction to reach out to those in need, but is not a religious program that seeks to proselytize. The program seeks a Program Director.
