Advancing Regional Equity Summit

In just 96 days, leaders from across the country will gather in Philadelphia for an important meeting focused on how to build more equitable and inclusive neighborhoods and regions. We want you to join us.

Hosted by PolicyLink and the Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities, the Advancing Regional Equity Summit will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on May 23-25, 2005.

Here are a few highlights of the exciting activities that are being planned
* Plenary sessions featuring senior foundation executives discussing the role of philanthropy in advancing equitable regional development, smart growth, and social justice.
* Policy and skills-building sessions grounded in current campaigns to promote economic and social equity in the areas of housing, transportation, economic development, labor, education, smart growth, environmental justice, infrastructure, and more.
* Issue and Geographic Caucuses provide an opportunity for in-depth strategizing and problem solving with colleagues from across the country.
* A Cybercafe composed of 40 workstations with free high-speed Internet access and demonstrations of the latest digital tools and e-advocacy campaigns promoting equitable development.
* An evening of networking and festivities at a private reception at the landmark Reading Terminal Market, Philadelphia’s historic farmers’ market in the heart of Center City Philadelphia.
