Accounts Payable Staff Accountant

The Accounts Payable Staff Accountant is primarily responsible but not limited to opening mail, sorting, scanning, reviewing and input of vendor invoices, printing and mailing checks; Maintenance of Vendor files; Handling vendor calls, research and disputes. Careful review of all documentation is critical. Generate stipends and rent payouts; The A/P Staff Accountant is also responsible for maintenance and supplies for copy and fax machine; Open mail, stamp, record date, scan invoices for check requests; Utility Reimbursement & HAP payouts; Update and maintain check tracking sheet; Batch invoices in computer. Assists in training of new staff in AP procedures.

Qualified candidates must have:

· Bachelors Degree preferred; past work experience coupled with some education will be considered;

· A minimum of 2 years in an Accounts Payable environment;

· Strong computer skills including Excel;

· Good organizational skills and attention to detail;

· Good verbal and written communication skills;

· The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline driven, fast paced environment.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
