Academic Coordinator, School of Social Policy and Practice

The School of Social Policy & Practice seeks a professional higher education program coordinator to join the Nonprofit Leadership Master’s Degree Program at the School of Social Policy & Practice. The coordinator will support faculty and instructors as they develop and update courses and manage the development of programming for NPL.

This includes assisting in the day-to-day activities of the NPL Program and working closely with the program’s Administrative Director on program needs, providing resources to students and faculty, and assisting with expansion of the program’s reach within Penn and beyond.

Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience preferred.

Progressive experience in higher education program coordination, especially course development, instructional support for academia, or a related training capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience., Ability to work effectively with instructors and graduate student and working professional learners. Knowledge of the latest in instructional pedagogies and service-learning and experiential education. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in small teams and independently, superb attention to detail and customer service skills

Preferred

  • Experience with graduate programs
  • Background in a social policy & practice related field
