Join the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland for a two-day forum sharing expert knowledge, the latest research, and promising ideas among professionals engaged in community and economic development in the Great Lakes region.

For the past 10 years, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland has convened an annual Policy Summit in our region for the purpose of having outside-the-Beltway policy discussions about community development issues affecting our regional communities. Topics range from consumer finance and financial education to housing finance reform and strengthening and rebuilding communities post-foreclosure crisis. Three years ago we added a research track, enhancing the value of this forum. From the Policy Summit’s inception we have strived for this event to be a meaningful, relevant exchange of knowledge and best practices to serve the needs of constituents — including academics, bankers, elected officials, practitioners, and policymakers — across the Fourth Federal Reserve District.

As we embark on our second decade of providing the latest research, practitioner insights, and best practices in community and economic development in a conference setting, we have made two strategic changes. First, we have chosen to partner with our colleagues at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia on two events. Comprising the Third Federal Reserve District (eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and all of Delaware), the Philly Fed serves communities and markets similar to those in our district. In addition, the Philadelphia Fed hosts a biennial conference, Reinventing Older Communities, that focuses on the specific challenges facing older industrial communities. Going forward, the Cleveland Fed will serve as both a co-sponsor and planning partner of that conference. By joining forces on both events, we hope to provide our combined constituents with an even more valuable and meaningful Policy Summit. The second change is that the Policy Summit will now be held every other year, alternating with the Reinventing Older Communities conference.
